May I remind Linus of a monitor he has already covered before, the Samsung Odyssey G7 which is also 32", also 1440p, also HDR600, also 1 ms response, also has G-Sync, also costs $700 (as of this post)... and it can go up to 240 Hz, more than the 175 of this monitor. Perhaps the fact that this is an IPS flat panel and the Samsung is a curved VA makes a big difference?

3:30 I've noticed the same (not that I'm eagle-eyed) I'm happy with my 32.5" (1440p) screen but I might not keep it for as long as I kept my 1080p (24"?) one, now when I feel like I there might be a viable option in 5 years or so. AKA when 4k monitors and graphics card able to support them well are down to a manageable price (or at least I hope so - and I'm seriously hoping that we'll see 16:10 desktop monitors at that time, not that I'm holding my breath). Hell, I might even get the VR set-up I'm waiting for (waiting for as I'm waiting for it to mature, not having ordered something that'll never turned up! ;) till then! :D

  41. Laughing Man

    Laughing ManΠριν 3 ημέρες

I'm really interested in this monitor because of the resolution (1440p seems to me a good compromise also for gaming, to be able to MAX most of the settings and ray tracing at a good refresh rate, over 144Hz in this case), the HDR600, the flat panel and the wide gamut (I read 160%sRGB, 98%dci-p3 and about 80% adobe RGB). With these specs it would be the best compromise for graphic use, content creation, gaming and watching movies. The only thing that worries me is the size of the panel...with those 32" would it have the same effect as with a fullHD 27"? It's important for the graphic usage that images are sharp and the pixels are not visible. The monitor would be paired to an rtx 3090

That's a good one, even if I was expecting a slightly higher resolution. I have the older brother of this screen, if you remember the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q with the same res but at 27" and 144Hz, G-Sync, etc. And after all those years (I believe 6) still runs great! Personally I would go with a higher resolution for 32" since is larger than the 27" I have... :D

    XellazΠριν 3 ημέρες

I've own an Acer Predator X27 which is a 4k, 144hz, HDR1000, GSYNC monitor since it launched and it's still pretty good but I'm going for the LG C1 48" OLED 4K 120Hz GSYNC TV that will be released around April 2021 as my new monitor. Would prefer it to be smaller like 32-38" but 48" is the smallest OLED that LG have shown for now despite announcing that they will have smaller OLED versions.
